Confusing Mandarin
[edit]@Wyang, múyàng seems to be standard in Mainland:
- Xiandai Hanyu Cidian only has múyàng(r).
- Hanyu Da Cidian has both múyàng and móyàng, but for the current sense, it's múyàng.
- Liang'an Cidian says that múyàng is standard in Mainland and móyàng in Taiwan.
@Tooironic, could you confirm with Hanyu Guifan Cidian?
Do you think we should say:
- múyàng - standard in Mainland, literary(?) variant in Taiwan
- móyàng - standard in Taiwan, colloquial(?) variant in Mainland

I think this would be good:
- múyàng - literary, standard in Mainland, variant in Taiwan
- móyàng - colloquial, standard in Taiwan, common variant in Mainland
