The etymology is obvious (未 (wèi) + verb to make an adjective of type "un ... able" or "un ... ed") but I think it merits an entry. Leaning keep. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 01:06, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

@Justinrleung: Thank you. Would 未成年 (wèichéngnián) fall into the same category? If not, what's the difference? Feel free to RFD.

There is a shorter version - 未解 (wèijiě) (used in the Oxford dictionary). Other words with 未 (wèi) + verb: 未婚 (wèihūn), 未定 (wèidìng), 未完 (wèiwán), which seem to fall into the same category.

Such words where the verbs after 未 (wèi) is just one syllable are more likely to be included in dictionaries. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 08:22, 29 January 2022 (UTC)

@Atitarev: 未成年 is included in some monolingual dictionaries, and it's often used attributively (even without 的), hence more adjective-like. 未 + monosyllabic verb is more likely to be included in dictionaries because there is a tendency to think of bisyllabic units as words, but I think we may need to rethink these case by case. Also sometimes, the monosyllabic word may not be a free word (at least in modern varieties), like in the case of 未婚. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 08:15, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
