Talk:拱券

@Wyang Hi. Sorry again. Pleco and the Chinese Wiktionary both give the Mandarin reading "gǒngxuàn". Is it the alt pronunciation of "gǒngquàn"? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:34, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
- gǒngxuàn is the correct pronunciation. quàn is "ticket, note, certificate, voucher", xuàn is "arch". quàn has the incorrect colloquial alternative of juàn. Wyang (talk) 22:32, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Wyang Thanks, Frank. Wenlin software gives "gǒngquàn" as an alternative. 券 doesn't list "juàn". --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:47, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Wyang, Atitarev It seems like Taiwan has quàn as the standard for this word. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 10:11, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
- Umm, I'm not convinced MoE is aware that the sense of 'arch' potentially warrants a separate pronunciation... Wyang (talk) 13:07, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
