• Daijirin says 平らな田地。. Daijiten by Heibon-sha says 平坦な田。. Both are meaning a flat rice paddy. --Naggy Nagumo (talk) 00:28, 19 October 2018 (UTC)

ひらた【平田】flat [unterraced] paddy fields; rice fields on flat land. (研究社 Online Dictionary - 新和英大辞典第５版). My comment: "a flat rice paddy" doesn't quite convey that meaning, since terraced paddy fields may flat (each one individually, I mean). Also, "(literally)" can be removed from the Wiktionary definition, I should think. Richwarm88 (talk) 23:53, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
