Usage notes
[edit]@Justinrleung Do you think it would be appropriate to have some usage notes here and in some of the related entries? After all 師父 is also used when addressing a female teacher, while 師母 refers to a male teacher's wife, and not a female teacher. And likewise 師兄 or 師姐 refers to people who started following your teacher before you did, regardless of their age relative to you. So despite the reference to family members, their meaning is not intuitive to an English speaker. The dog2 (talk) 21:33, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- @The dog2: Perhaps. Try to write something up, and I'll make changes if necessary. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 21:36, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
