Japanese given name. —suzukaze (t・c) 01:57, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- It does come up in Google (https://www.google.com/search?q=%22実見子さん%22), and it's listed in ENAMDICT (http://gengo.com/wwwjdic/cgi-data/wwwjdic?2MUEmimiko), which might be what motivated the creation of our entry. As for how cromulent or prevalent this name might be, I have no real information beyond the limited number of googits (only 7). ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 16:34, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Eirikr, suzukaze-c: I am confused, as I see 21 results at google books:"実見子". Are there not three good uses there? —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 00:44, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
- Metaknowledge: google:"実見子の" is so scanty that I have to wonder if those are actually scannos, especially since preview of the actual pages is not possible. —suzukaze (t・c) 00:47, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

- google:"実見子さん" produces more hits than 実見子の. Not many, but a few more. FWIW. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 23:14, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
- Although it looks like a real name, I don't think there is a strong case for the name being a common one, Among the few online examples I found, many seem to refer to a single individual living in Yamaguchi. (Different sources, thus less chance that it is the result of scanno, I believe.) [1][2][3] Whym (talk) 08:27, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, it is certainly well-formed as a name, and there are occurrences on e.g. social media sites (Whym has shown some examples), but I wouldn't want to violate the privacy of some random individual just to verify that their given name exists. I don't know of any famous or newsworthy individuals, nor of any fictional characters with this name. I searched a newspaper database but didn't find anyone. Cnilep (talk) 01:36, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
I finally managed to find a couple of people named in local newspapers, plus a profile on the web. That is three uses across several years. @Suzukaze-c: How does this look to you? Cnilep (talk) 07:54, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
- Sure. Passed, and marked as rare. —Suzukaze-c (talk) 08:00, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
