淨：

1. 春秋魯國都城北城門的護城河名。 (A name of a river that protects a castle in the north castle gate of the capital city of the country 魯 in the era of 春秋.)
2. 清潔；乾淨。《說文》：「淨，今俗用為瀞字。」。 (Clean; clean. The book 說文 says, "淨 is non-standardly written as 瀞.")
3. 洗漱乾淨。 (To clean so that it is clean.)
4. 單純。 (Pure.)
5. 盡，沒有剩餘。 (Completely without any remains.)
6. 佛家用語。 (A Buddhism term.)

凈：

1. 冷。 (Cold.)
2. 古籍中多作「淨」。 (In old books it is usually written 淨.)
