move to 令嬡

[edit]

@Justinrleung Could you please move this entry to 令嬡? I think that is the more proper way to write this, and in fact, that is the form I learnt in school. The dog2 (talk) 18:32, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@The dog2: Mainland dictionaries (Xiandai Hanyu Guifan Cidian) seem to suggest 令爱 as the standard/main form, while 國語辭典簡編本 has 令嬡. @RcAlex36, Wpi31 What do you think we should do? — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 18:51, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Justinrleung I've never heard of this word, and I don't think modern dictionaries in Hong Kong would have this word, but 林語堂當代漢英詞典(1972) has "令愛,令媛 your daughter" under 令 and "(Court.) 令嬡 your daughter (also wr. 令愛)." under 嬡. I would assume that 令愛 is the standard form here? (obviously this dictionary would not represent Hong Kong usage but rather the general usage back in the 60s/70s) – Wpi31 (talk) 13:33, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
