- No. You can use a numeral with a counter to express the number of objects. As the counter words used with ships are 隻 (せき, seki) or 艘 (そう, sou), depending on the size of the ships, "three ships" should 3艘 or 3隻. --友枝真樹 (Tomoeda Maki) 17:51, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
