Don't understand etymology

I don't understand how "wooper looper" became derived from "aho rōtoru". I'm seeing on twitter that this Wiktionary page used to say there was a TV commercial that coined this name as a more pleasant sounding alternative; is it something like this? Seefooddiet (talk) 07:42, 5 January 2025 (UTC)

It doesn't say it derives from "aho rōtoru". It says it substituted it. Nardog (talk) 16:44, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
