@კვარია, see this. Also, {{R:lzz:Aleksiva}} knows this only from Maqashvili, which means he did not encounter it in his field research in Lazistan, which makes it likely to be a Georgian borrowing. Cynodon dactylon is so called (δάκτυλος (dáktulos)) because of finger-like inflorescences. So this must be a derivative of ჭანგი (č̣angi). Vahag (talk) 15:02, 16 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
