Talk:ჩხური
Add topicWhy does this Article say that ჩხური has a Old Armenian etymology, if the ոչխար Article for Old Armenian (for which the etymology-link says to see further) says that it's a Kartvelian (the Language Family Laz language belongs to) borrowing. Wiktionary shouldn't contradict itself, two articles say two radically different things, one that this word is from Old Armenian into Kartvelian langauges (in this case Laz) and the another says it's from Kartvelian into Armenian. I ask you, as the etymology section in ոչխար has convincing arguments and the idea of ჩხური being a borrowing from Armenian has none, to correct this misconception and change the etymology section in ჩხური to the more reasonable one, that is given in the ոչխար etymology section, with it's linguistical comparisons to other Kartvelian languages. Thank you,— This comment was unsigned.
- Etymology in ჩხური does not say it's from Old Armenian. It's simply linking to the Old Armenian entry, where ჩხური and its Kartvelian cognates are discussed. --Vahag (talk) 15:04, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
