@Abkhazian1, it is not convincing. I cannot imagine a shift of meaning "sea animal" > "herd of cattle". նախիր (naxir) has a shape of a typical Iranian loan. Note that Armenian նախրապան (naxrapan), Aghul нахирбан (naxirban, “shepherd”) contain the Iranian suffix -պան (-pan). --Vahag (talk) 15:01, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
