I believe this may be a borrowing from one of the southern Chinese dialects common in Thailand. 24.29.228.33 05:44, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

วุ้น seems similar to Vietnamese bún (rice vermicelli), and เส้น seems similar to the Chinese 線 (string, used in some noodle names). 71.66.97.228 11:21, 27 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
