Comparable with Akkadian? ["ṭōrum"] ["ṯawr-"]

Why has this not been connected to the Phoenician letter "taw" ? ["taw" /𐤕]

Why has this not been connected to the Ancient Greek "tau" ? ["Tau"(Τ)] ["Tau" (Τ)]

Because no one has gotten around to adding an etymology. It's not like the history of any of these is a big secret. As for the "Akkadian" (really Eblaite), it has nothing to do with the others. They're all from a Phoenician term for "wheel", while that's from a Semitic root, *ṯawr- meaning "bull", which is 𒋗𒌑𒊒 (šūru) in Akkadian and שׁוֹר in Hebrew.
