Suffix

[edit]

@Metaknowledge: I don't think there is an actual ־שט (-sht) suffix, it is just a reflex of ־סט (-st) that sometimes occurs after ר (r). Of course our entry for ־סט (-st) is lacking many different meanings. --WikiTiki89 16:21, 20 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Wikitiki89: I really don't understand these suffixes well enough, so I would appreciate if you could expand/rectify those. אַנדערש (andersh) has a similar issue. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 20:59, 20 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, and there are other words like that: ערשט (ersht) (German erst), באַרשט (barsht) (German Bürste). I don't understand all the meanings of the ־סט (-st) suffix either, but nor do I in English, like what is the -st in whilst, for example? For אַנדערש (andersh), it is the neuter nominalizing suffix ־ס (-s). --WikiTiki89 22:18, 20 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
