@Calak, is Kurdish sīnzTragopogon” quoted by Asatrian real? I only find Lua error in Module:parameters at line 376: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "ku" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E.. He may ave confused it with Kurdish. --Vahag (talk) 10:38, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

I don't remember from where I read this, but If I'm not mistaken, he quotes this word from an Ottoman book... .--Calak (talk) 09:50, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Ačaṙyan quotes the Ottoman translation of {{R:ar:Qamus|page=414|vol=I}} as evidence for Arabic سنج (sunj, jujube). That must be the quote you are referring to. --Vahag (talk) 10:03, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
If I'm not wrong it is a book from Evliya Çelebi, maybe Seyahatnâme.--Calak (talk) 14:08, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'm giving up on this word. It has too many homonyms in too many languages. --Vahag (talk) 14:58, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
