@Vahagn Petrosyan the original had [hjurern], but don't you need a schwa? Also, I'm not sure if you want to have both this entry and հյուրերը Hovsepig (talk) 01:10, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Hovsepig:, Standard Eastern Armenian prefers to delete [ə] where possible. Pronunciations with [ə] are considered somewhat dialectal. I would pronounce հյուրերն ասացին without [ə]. --Vahag (talk) 05:47, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- I don't know what you mean that this is redundant beside հյուրերը (hyurerə). Both are normal inflected forms, one used before vowels, the other before consonants. --Vahag (talk) 05:49, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Vahagn Petrosyan: Although I know that հյուրերն loses the schwa when used before a vowel-initial word in EA, what about its pronunciation in isolation? The redundancy is that the entries don't state that the two definite forms are used in two separate phonological contexts, so a non-Armenian can get confused over when to use each form Hovsepig (talk) 05:51, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- In isolation it is probably without a schwa, but this form would not be used in isolation.
- I prefer not to pack information about grammar into a dictionary. It belongs to a different project. --Vahag (talk) 06:31, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Vahagn Petrosyan: Understable. Would you prefer to change it back to schwa-less? Hovsepig (talk) 08:02, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- No, it's OK. --Vahag (talk) 08:16, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
