@Vahagn Petrosyan It is similar to Parthian 𐫛𐫇𐫡𐫤 (pwrt /purt/) from the oblique stem Lua error in Module:parameters at line 376: Parameter 1 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "OIr." is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. *pr̥θw-. But like պաշտպան, It shows an output -ար- (-ar-) from Proto-Iranian *r̥.--Calak (talk) 11:21, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Calak, the problem is not the -ար- (-ar-) but հ- (h-). PIE *p- does yield Armenian հ- (h-), as in հայր (hayr), but this sound change was long over when the Iranian borrowings started. --Vahag (talk) 12:36, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
