Compare Yagnobi γirék (clay) (and probably Central Kurdish قوڕ (qurr, mud)) from same root Old Iranian *grai̯(a)-(ka)-.--Calak (talk) 22:35, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
From what I understand, *gāri̯a- and *grai̯(a)- are different. The first does not fit with the meaning, the second with phonetics. --Vahag (talk) 13:18, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
