Talk:брызгать

@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89, Wanjuscha, KoreanQuoter Anatoli, can you take a look at ruwikt and help me sort out the meanings of the two types (6a and 1a)? I don't think I have it right. A similar distinction applies to забрызгать, which I'm going to add. Benwing2 (talk) 03:10, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- The short answer is both conjugation types have identical meanings. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:23, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Atitarev Are you sure? According to Zaliznyak and ruwikt, one is transitive and the other is intransitive. Benwing2 (talk) 03:25, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- I'll take a better look later. What's the page number in Zaliznyak? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:28, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Atitarev Page 656 in my edition. Form 6a is intransitive and defined as сыпать брызгами; form 1a is transitive and defined as опрыскивать, окроплять. Similarly, забрызгать is either intransitive in form 6a (начать сыпать брызгами) or transitive in form 1a (покрыть брызгами). Benwing2 (talk) 03:43, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, agreed. I have improved the entry slightly. Sorry for the delay. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 12:20, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
