This word is wrong. The title of the page is incorrect. The word is υἱός not γιος. I don't know how this mistake was made, but anyone who knows greek can recognize it immediately. I don't know how to change the article title to correct this, so i'm going to point it out in the text.Leostaley (talk) 02:39, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

True for Ancient Greek, but this is Modern Greek (we refer to Modern Greek as simply "Greek", and everything before the fall of Constantinople as "Ancient Greek"). Although I don't know much Modern Greek, I find it significant that this entry has been edited by at least one native speaker, and at least a couple of advanced second-language speakers- without any objections being raised to the spelling. Chuck is right (as far as it goes) - but his answer had made me think a bit harder about this. υἱός is also a Katharevousa form of the word as well as an Ancient Greek form. There are not many Katharevousa words on Wiktionary yet see: Category:Katharevousa and most of these are monotonic (and should these have polytonic forms created?), although the polytonic Ἕλλην is there - and this is probably the format which should be used for υἱός. — Saltmarsh^{απάντηση} 10:32, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
