Should this be moved to ʾʾdwt?
[edit]I'm pretty sure it's the commoner form, it is due to it and adutça "handful" that people like Clauson consider *adut to be the original form as opposed to EDAL's *abuç as well.
This form seems to have arose through an early (and kinda unregular at this stage) sound change *aδut -> *ayut -> *awut.
