Borrowed from Gujarati સૌરાષ્ટ્ર (saurāṣṭra, Saurashtra) or its etymon Sanskrit सौराष्ट्र (saurāṣṭra, from Saurashtra), vriddhi form of सुराष्ट्र (surāṣṭra, Saurashtra), from सु- (su-, good) +‎ राष्ट्र (rāṣṭra, realm, dominion).
