[edit]From Hindustani ریخْتَہ (rexta) / रेख़ता (rextā), from Classical Persian ریخْتَه (rēxta).

- A style of Urdu, Hindavi, or sometimes Braj or Punjabi used in poetry that linguistically adapts Persian grammar and vocabulary; a mix of Persian and Khariboli.
- (historical, obsolete) The Hindustani language, the language of which Hindi and Urdu are literary standards.
