Is this literally not the same verb as *yol(ï)-?

Shouldn't this verb, considering the semantics and phonology,,be considered a secondary form of *yul(ï)- ~ yol(ï)- that seperated due to its meaning becoming more specific? (see for example turkish üşen-, a variant of usan-; they both still exist due to difference in meaning). It having no cognate in Chuvash or Old Turkic, while *yul(ï)- ~ yol(ï)- does seems to support this as well. Yorınçga573 (talk) 21:30, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

Even if so, I don't think we can't be sure of it. It should remain a possibility. Maybe it is a doublet from a neighboring language. Tenishev associates it with the Evenki n'uli- "to scrape?" in the Salar article of yil-. BurakD53 (talk) 22:37, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

Yeah it can remain a possibility, however I have to disagree with a reborrowing, it doesn't seem typical for such a case to occur in these many daughter languages. Ontop of that there is native sound change that mirrors yolï- to yüli-, being yorï- vs yüri-, over there since the two forms didn't change meaning yüri- simply replaced yorï- in Oghuz. (Note: yolï- also had a meaning of "to raid" at earlier dates, which is probably why the seperation happened) Yorınçga573 (talk) 07:01, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
