Should the two etymologies not be considered the same word?

It has the same exact semantics as *ayït- (“to say; to ask”) from *ay- (“to say”), to me it seems like the two etymologies are the same, is there proof against it? Yorınçga573 (talk) 15:13, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
