I think, quyaš ("sunnig") and küneš ("sun") may have different origins. See Old Uyghur, Sakha and others in descendants. BurakD53 (talk) 14:13, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

Late response but... Anyways. Descendants which have the noninitial-y are inherited from *kuńāĺ, you probably had seen it. Ardahan Karabağ (talk) 07:14, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
