Why not *pьrstь +‎ *-ьnъ?

@Zezen It doesn't look that *-ьnъ is supported by descendants, for example Serbo-Croatian prsten/prstena is unlike to srpanj/srpnja. Check other masculine n-stem nouns, their descendants endings are similar to *pьrsty. —Игорь Тълкачь (talk) 10:23, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

1. Thank you: I think now I understand the difference: krzemień, kamień vs. sierpień#Polish, učeň#Czech .
2. Shall we thus create the redlinked -eńś, so as to create or update the etymologies of toczeń and the other West Slavic deverbial nouns with the -eń/ň suffix?
3. Shall we remove this spurious "*-y?" then?
4. . FYI, I saw (and copied) this *-ьnъ [!] suffix in the (likely wrong, even in spelling) etymology section of another Polish noun likely belonging to this Category:Proto-Slavic masculine n-stem nouns set: alas, I do not remember which one by now.

2-3. If you mean Polish -eń, entry can be created if the suffix exists (Category:Polish words suffixed with -eń). If you mean Proto-Slavic, singular of direct case is expected to be *-y (oblique case is *-en-) like other n-stem nouns. Form *-eňь (*-eńь) is not supported by Serbo-Croatian, Slovene, Czech, they would reflect -nj, -nj, -ň (like Proto-Slavic *koňь).
