How on earth was the weak yer supposed to vocalize?

In East Slavic, maybe – they do this all the time, e.g. греметь, яблоко – but in West Slavic? If it really isn't a semi-nativized borrowing from some other language, then it must've been gъsъlo (or gъsьlo, gъsъslo, gъsьslo, gъzъslo, gъzьslo…). 89.64.25.252 14:15, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

How about having this word form *gewH- with a byform like "gu-dʰh₁-tlo-m" ?
