In sense 3, *-ijaz?
[edit]In sense 3, a very similar suffix appears in the form of *-ijaz.
It is recognised in wiktionary in the entries for *ainaugijaz, for OE -fēte (< *fōtijaz) and OE -hende (< *-handijaz).
As an adjective-forming suffix it is directly comparable to Latin -ius and Ancient Greek -ῐος which are both distinct from i-stem adjectives in -is.
Further, wiktionary acknowledges PIE *-yós, a suffix that creates adjectives from noun stems > Latin -ius, Ancient Greek -ῐος and PGmc -(i)jaz, but has not fully recognised the PGmc end of this.
