Etymology

Khitan language proved that it had earlier initial-p sound. Cognate with Khitan 𘮧𘭪 (*p ra, ten). Compared to Proto-Tungusic *poba (ten (a bundle of ten squirrels)), also Proto-Turkic *ōn according to logic of Turkic initial-∅, Mongolic initial-h, Tungusic initial-p sounds.
