Reconstruction:Proto-Kartvelian/ɣer-
Appearance
Proto-Kartvelian
[edit]Noun
[edit]*ɣer-
Reconstruction notes
[edit]Klimov connects here Laz ღანჯი (ğanci, “leg, thigh, calf of leg”),[1] however this is rejected by Fähnrich-Sarǯvelaʒe and Čuxua.[2][3][4] Čuxua adds Mingrelian აღაჯა ← *ო-ღაჯ-ა (aɣaǯa ← *o-ɣaǯ-a, “main beam of roof”).[4]
Descendants
