  • A thematization of Proto-Indo-European *kʷéh₂onts (how much, how many), from *kʷéh₂ (neuter plural of *kʷos) + *-onts (Caland adjectival suffix).
  • A -tos derivative of *kʷām (whence Latin quam), accusative of *kʷoi.
