Proto-Finnic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From earlier *parša, probably borrowed from Proto-Baltic [Term?] (whence Lithuanian paršas (“piglet, castrated boar”)). Borrowing from Proto-Germanic *farhaz is also possible, but less likely. Doublet of *porcas.
