Reconstruction:Proto-Finnic/paikka
Appearance
Proto-Finnic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Probably borrowed from Proto-Germanic *spaikǭ, whence Gutnish spaik (“a mark carved in a tree”). LÄGLOS, however, considers this uncertain due to the semantic gap.[1]
