Alternative reconstructions

[edit]- Zair prefers reconstructing *wradī to maintain a closer formal match to Latin rādīx and Ancient Greek ῥάδιξ (rhádix).
- Matasović's reconstruction *wradis[3] is odd, because *-is does not finally i-affect *a in Brittonic, unless one starts from a plural *wradīs.
