[edit]From Proto-Indo-European *teh₂ws- (“to be quiet, be still”), see also Danish tyst (“quiet”),[1] Old Prussian tusnan (“still”) and Luwian 𒌅𒄷𒅆𒀀𒄿 (tuḫušiya-, “to await, to wait and see”).[2]
