Reconstruction:Proto-Celtic/brugnos
Appearance
Proto-Celtic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Uncertain, possibly from Proto-Indo-European *gʷruHǵʰ-nó-, from the root *gʷrewHǵʰ- (“to bite”) + *-nós, though the laryngeal makes this problematic; alternatively from *bʰreg- (“to break”).
