Etymology

[edit]

Borrowed from English Okinawa Japan, due to its similarities with the swear word ukinana. The word "Japan" is added to further signify that the speaker is supposedly talking about the place called Okinawa in Japan instead of the swear word.

Pronunciation

[edit]
  • IPA(key): /ʔokinˌnawa d͡ʒaˈpan/ [ʔo.kinˌna.wa d͡ʒɐˈpan], /hokinˌnawa d͡ʒaˈpan/ [ho.kinˌna.wa d͡ʒɐˈpan]
  • Hyphenation: O‧ki‧na‧wa Ja‧pan

Interjection

[edit]
