Etymology

Borrowed from Kazakh Нұр-Сұлтан (Nūr-Sūltan), from the name Нұрсұлтан (Nūrsūltan). Named after the long-ruling president Nursultan Nazarbayev (born 1940) in 2019, shortly after his resignation.
