  1. any robe-like garment worn before dressing, especially a dressing gown/bathrobe
    Synonyms: Bademantel, Morgenmantel, Schlafrock

Usage notes

  • Some sources distinguish between Bademantel, which is made of terry cloth, and the other three synonyms, which are made of other fabrics. However, this is hardly a general rule.
