[edit]From Mohr (“Moor”) + -en- + Kopf (“head”).
Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]Mohrenkopf m (strong, genitive Mohrenkopfes or Mohrenkopfs, plural Mohrenköpfe)

- (dated, now often offensive) chocolate teacake (type of dessert)
- Synonyms: Schokokuss, Schaumkuss, (now offensive) Negerkuss

Usage notes
[edit]Mohrenkopf is an increasingly controversial word. In reference to the chocolate marshmallow candy, it is now often considered discriminatory and replaced with Schokokuss or Schaumkuss.[1] The usage of a Mohrenkopf in heraldry may also be considered racist.[2]
