Mohrenkopf m (strong, genitive Mohrenkopfes or Mohrenkopfs, plural Mohrenköpfe)

  1. (also heraldry, see usage note) negro's head
  2. (dated, now often offensive) chocolate teacake (type of dessert)
Synonyms: Schokokuss, Schaumkuss, (now offensive) Negerkuss

Usage notes

[edit]

Mohrenkopf is an increasingly controversial word. In reference to the chocolate marshmallow candy, it is now often considered discriminatory and replaced with Schokokuss or Schaumkuss.[1] The usage of a Mohrenkopf in heraldry may also be considered racist.[2]
