Why 海蠣煎?

[edit]

Hi @The dog2, I'm wondering why you chose 海蠣煎 as the title for this module, and why it's the only formal one. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 03:54, 26 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Justinrleung: When I looked at some YouTube videos, I noticed that 海蠣煎 is what you will see written down when you go to Xiamen, and is what people will say in Mandarin. See this video. When they speak Hokkien, then it is 蚵仔煎 just like in Taiwan. The dog2 (talk) 04:03, 26 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
@The dog2: I see. Interesting to know. I think 牡蠣煎 might be another one that could be possible for the "Formal" row. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 06:44, 26 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Haifeng

[edit]

@The dog2 Is that really Haifeng? Or is that Shanwei? — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 00:05, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Justinrleung: I guess she didn't make it clear. The pronunciation of words just sounded about right to me. The dog2 (talk) 00:52, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@The dog2: Hmm, let's not confuse the two then. I don't know if I can reliably tell the two dialects apart (yet). — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 01:14, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
