@The dog2: I see. It's interesting that you noticed the licence plates. That said, 粵D is used throughout Shantou, which would include Chaoyang, Chenghai, Chaonan and Nan'ao, which are slightly different from Shantou. @Justinrleung: It's definitely not Chenghai, because the Chenghai accent lacks bilabial consonant finals, while Shantou accent has them (as you can hear in the pronunciation of 十). Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the Chaoyang, Chaonan and Nan'ao accents, but the way the vowels are pronounced in the are consistent with that of the Shantou accent. Based on this, it seems that the pronunciation of 挈 in the video does not match Chaonan or Nan'ao. And also, this is consistent with the general pattern of 跤 in Hokkien being replaced by 下 in Teochew. The dog2 (talk) 16:27, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
