@Justinrleung Should we include this as a synonym? They both translate to the same word in English, but their use is not interchangeable in Chinese. For instance, you can say 整天 but you cannot say 全天, but on the the other hand, you say 全身 but not 整身. And maybe I'm wrong on this, but to my knowledge, even in Cantonese, people say 全身, while 成身 sounds awkward to me. The dog2 (talk) 16:21, 7 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

@The dog2: I think we should restrict this module to 整 + classifier (which means 全身 would not be included here). @Justinrleung: Sure, we can have two separate modules then. I know in Hokkien 規 is used in both circumstances. Maybe in Cantonese it's just a matter of which is more common, which I why I typically use 成日 and not 全日. And likewise, I will say 全身痛 instead of 成身痛. But if you use a classifier in Cantonese, can you say 全個x instead of 成個x ? The former is not something I would typically say. The dog2 (talk) 16:48, 7 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
@justinrleung: Agree that this should be limited to 整+classifier (and that it would be any classifiers in general, with maybe a few exceptions). I don't think we should add 全 for Cantonese as it cannot be universally used with any classifier in general, and it has a slightly different meaning from 成, in Cantonese the former implies an encompassing or complete "whole" and the latter is a generic "entire" (or at least this is how I see it). – Wpi31 (talk) 16:57, 7 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

全(個)世界 is the entire world, including every single people and every single object in the world, while 成個世界 is more figuratively the entire world. – Wpi31 (talk) 01:39, 8 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
