Context

@Justinrleung I wonder if we should have all of these in the same label. I'm not sure if this applies to Hong Kong, but in Singaporean Cantonese, there is a subtle difference in usage pattern between 幾多 and 幾, and likewise there a subtle difference in usage pattern between 偌濟 and 幾 in Singaporean Hokkien. @Justinrleung: I don't know. It's really hard to put the difference in words. I just learnt the proper usage context from enough exposure, but I guess you could say that 幾多 is used more in statements, while 幾 is used more in questions, which is analogous to the difference between 偌濟 and 幾. @Justinrleung: For instance, if you want to ask how much something costs, it would be "幾錢？", or in Singaporean Cantonese "幾鐳？". But if you want to say "I don't know how much money he has.", then it would be "我唔知佢有幾多錢。". The dog2 (talk) 18:32, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
