Wuhan
[edit]@Prisencolin Are you sure that 阿公 is Wuhanese? Do you have any sources for that? — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 22:50, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Anecdotal I guess. I have a friend whose maternal grandparents are from Hankow and they call them 阿公 and 阿婆. It's possible they weren't originally from there though. Btw I don't see a citations section on any of these modules, is there one somewhere?--Prisencolin (talk) 02:50, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Prisencolin: Is that in standard Mandarin or in Wuhanese? That could make the difference. Also, since Wuhan Fangyan Cidian doesn't include a lot of terms with the suffix 阿, I am a bit doubtful that it's Wuhanese. I could be wrong, but since you don't speak Wuhanese yourself, we don't have anyone here who speaks Wuhanese, and I can't find any other source that can verify this, we'll have to remove it. Unlike Wikipedia, we don't usually have citations on Wiktionary. We have a(n outdated) list of references for these tables here. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 03:18, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Justinrleung: To be honest I have no clue. Go ahead and roll back as you see fit.--Prisencolin (talk) 22:09, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
