Baybayin

[edit]

@Benwing2 Maybe replace "has_baybayin" variable name to "has_native_script", because only Tagalog has the term "Baybayin". Ysrael214 (talk) 01:59, 22 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Ysrael214 OK, I will do that. Note that all languages are currently using "Baybayin" in categories like Category:Ilocano terms without Baybayin script. Should these be renamed to use the appropriate language-specific script name? Benwing2 (talk) 02:10, 22 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2 I think this is because they're sharing the same Baybayin unicode? but yes, such categories should be renamed in my opinion or leftover code from Tagalog that wasn't changed when applied to other languages. Thoughts? @TagaSanPedroAko @Mar vin kaiser Ysrael214 (talk) 02:16, 22 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2 Sorry for using this thread again, but in case you aren't aware yet, I saw in Bikol Central entries that uses two headwords for some reason such as in Bikol Central uyam. Maybe the one that edits a lot over there was trying something. I don't touch the Bikol one because I don't know much about it but just letting you know there are issues like that over there. @Benwing2 Hello, the "Tagalog terms with missing Baybayin script entries" don't seem to be working. The page 'di ba, has a matching Baybayin script page ᜇᜒ ᜊ (di ba), but 'di ba is still in the category. Ysrael214 (talk) 18:54, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2 Is it okay if the letter is in Baybayin then (no case) would disappear? Thanks! Ysrael214 (talk) 10:22, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ysrael214 That is currently intentional (since Baybayin letters don't have any case) but if you don't like it we can change it, e.g. just make it display nothing. Benwing2 (talk) 19:27, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
