[edit]Originated 1900–05 from New Latin missa cantāta, from Late Latin missa (Mass) and Latin cantāta (to have sung); literally, sung mass.

- A Catholic Mass that is less elaborate than a High Mass, but with equivalent sung liturgical parts.
